Medical Litigation Online was founded by Geoff Hall, one of Britain’s most experienced law reporters. Called to the Bar by Middle Temple in 1963, Geoff began a career in legal publishing when he was appointed Editor of Lloyd’s Law Reports, the leading shipping and commercial series. He left Lloyd’s in 1980 to start his own successful business in Fleet Street.

In 1988 growing  medical negligence litigation showed the need for a series of law reports to cover this field.  Geoff launched,  and edited for ten years, Medical Law Reports, the first verbatim medico-legal series.  In 1998 he believed that the enormous growth in clinical negligence claims by injured patients, relatives and parents  could no longer be satisfactorily covered by orthodox hardcopy publishing.  He founded Medical Litigation Online at www.medneg.com in 1998.

In 1999 www.medicalclaims.co.uk was launched to provide free online information on medical negligence claims with access to experienced solicitors around the country.
